Earth Day 2010

It's time to think about Spring. Every April we have a great Earth Day Celebration. This year it will be April 24 from 10 am- 4 pm.

There will be crafts, food, music, plants and, of course, all the wonderful little shops in Brasstown.

I'm still looking for vendors for this event. The cost is $10 for a space. Contact me at or

Hope to see you there.

New Year...New Shop

I've finally moved into the BIG shop. I have a wonderful space to showcase all the great crafters that have their art/crafts in my shop. Many have brought in new items. I've added a line of gourmet foods. (mostly from NC but a few other Southern states) I have a small line of antiques for sale, also.

If you are in the area, drop by. If you are a crafter in need of a new outlet, come on out. I have some extra room now. :)

Snow 2010

Brasstown was abuzz with wishful snow talk. We all wanted it to snow. We kept watching the clouds roll in and sure enough the flakes started to fly Thursday around 2 pm. All the shop owners headed for home except my poor husband who is trying to paint my new shop. He was determined to finish the ceilings before the roads got nasty. Today is a snow day but will be back at it tomorrow. I want to open the new shop Jan. 14th. Can't wait.

In all the social networks I belong to I had forgotten about this one. Just sad, right.

The face of Brasstown will be changing again. I'm (Carolina Crafting) moving from a tiny little shop to a two room place. I will be out by the Highway where I can be found. I'll post more pictures as I get them.

A New Day In Brasstown

Welcome to the Shoppes of Brasstown Village. We are located in Brasstown, NC, right near the John C. Campbell Folk School and right across the street from Clay's Corner, home of the Possem Drop. There are 9 wonderful shops right now and more on the way. This blog will (hopefully) keep you up to date on the happenings in the village.

It rained hard this morning but visitors from out of town dropped in anyway. After a very slow winter it's always nice to see new faces.
